By now I have heard just about every excuse. I consider myself a rather empathetic individual with one exception. Excuses.
There are very few excuses that people give me that I don’t have a very simple solution to. The issue? People come up with an excuse as to why the solution wont work! Gah!
Does this sound a little like you?
Don’t you fret my little one. You are in the majority. Everyone makes them. Including yours truly. I would be the biggest liar if I said I didn’t make excuses. In fact, I will be the first one to admit that I do. The difference? I know very well when I am making an excuse and quickly kick myself in the rump for it!
The question you must ask yourself. Do you choose to make excuses or choose to get results?
My friends, you cannot choose both.
As you may have heard before, if its important you will find a way, if it’s not important you will find an excuse.
As Jillian Michaels says best, you have to first find the “why” before you can figure out your “how”! Why is this goal important to you? Do you want to live longer for your kids, prevent your family history of heart attacks, or have more energy to do the things you love? Find the real reason! Dig deep. Be honest. Then figure out the “how”. Make small, short-term and most importantly doable steps to get there. (more on the “how” coming soon!)
What will you choose? Excuses or results?
