Shamrock Shake

Hi Friends,

Today we are keeping the festivities green for St. Patrick’s Day with a Shamrock Shake.

We are packing this Shamrock Shake full of veggies and nutrients that will give you a boost of energy and a happy belly…and new bff status with spinach in your smoothies.

Ingredients:
– ½ avocado
– 2 cups spinach
-1 cup of frozen or fresh strawberries
-1 whole banana
-1 peeled orange
– ½ lemon
-1 cup water
-1 cup ice

Directions:
Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. It helps to add the water in first and the ice in last.

Don’t normally eat, let alone drink green things? Bare with me.  If you took a look at the first two ingredients and started to doubt me, you will be happy to know that this recipe was kid approved by 5 kids ages 4 through 13. I promise you cannot taste the avocado or spinach. The avocado gives the smoothie its creamy consistency and the taste of the spinach is completely masked by the other ingredients.


This is a great smoothie to drink in the mornings that will give you an extra boost to get you going….and who knows, maybe a little luck as well :0) Try it out and let me know what you think!
